Aye! Edinburgh luv'n it!

Haggis, sexy accent, beer, party party in bonnie Scotland!!!

40 minutes air flight from Dublin is the beautiful and historical city of Edinburgh. This Scotsman's capital is located south-east of Scotland. Edinburgh truly amazed me of her sheer beauty and richness of her history. During my trip I fell in love with this Georgian town, medieval architectures, dramatic hilly landscape to the panoramic shoreline.
It's a must to visit the Edinburgh castle the city most famous land mark that dominates the Edinburgh's skyline..

We spent our days rambling around the Royal Mile and Princess street checking the tartan mills, souvenirs stalls, beaux arts and buskers, castles and crown jewels, gardens and intestinal fortitude of the culinary delights oh Haggis! Aye Haggis is Scotland's page one cook book made up of sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach. Yummy!

Museums, world heritage sites, and spend a day appreciating the contrasts of the new and old town. Check the many festivals all through out the year. You can also try shopping along the George/Princes/Rose streets. Enjoy the summer heat in many of Edinburgh's gorgeous parks like the Princess Street gardens which is an impeccably landscaped park and woodland surrounding Edinburgh Castle.

Edinburgh is not all about day time tours castle and gorgeous cobble stone roads. The city has a very energetic and vibrant night,True the Scots know how to have fun fun and more fun!

We really enjoyed Edinburgh and would love to see it again in the future. This city is really beautiful and one of Europe's best secret. Come and discover this Scottish city.Aye!!!

Plaza de Toros de Ronda,Spain

The Plaza de Toros ("bullring") in Ronda, Málaga is one of the oldest operational bullrings in Spain.[1] The arena has a diameter of 66 metres (217 ft), surrounded by a passage formed by two rings of stone. There are two layers of seating, each with five raised rows and 136 pillars that make up 68 arches. The Royal Box has a sloping roof covered in Arabic tiles.

Cross-mountain tour!
Route 397 Ronda to San Pedro de Alcantara to Marbella

So we kissed Ronda goodbye and we drove from Ronda-San Pedro de Alcantara and finally we reached Marbella a sunny costa town of of Costa del Sol. The roads from Ronda was treacherous and extremely dangerous . It's mountains after mountains and rugged hillsides. The view was amazing but nervousness ruled the hour and a half journey.
Fairplay to moi partner Colm for driving safe.

Ronda Round Up

Date of travel: February 09,2012
Airline:Dublin-Malaga Aerlingus
Airport of entry:Malaga
We stayed in the picturesque hotel Parador in the historical centre of Ronda. A somewhat a privileged position next to puente Nuevo bridge and 120m above the "cut" river Gorge.
Parador hotel was built as a town hall of Ronda in mid-17Th century. This heritage site was long transformed into chain of Paradores hotels de Espana.
It was during 1910 when Spain started transforming and preserving their state homes, government buildings, monasteries and convents, monumental and heritage sites into hotel and tourism services. Spain aimed to give the best services this country can offer and promote national image to visitors who come to Spain and stay in Parador.

Ronda Oh Encantada!
We are having the best time in the mountainous ciudad de Ronda 750m above the sea level. This Spanish city of Andalucia Region is beautiful with some of the most impressive bridges. The famous Puente Nuevo bridge is the tallest of the bridges measuring 120m tall above the rugged canyon floor. Other bridges which are also equally beautiful are the Puente Arabe and Puente Romano.
Ronda is also the home of the oldest bullfighting ring in Spain the Plaza de Toros de Ronda. A ciudad rich in history and well preserved architectural remains that make this city a living reminders of a rich past. Ronda was once dominated by Celts,Arabs,Jews, Phoenicians and Christians over the folds of time.

Spin a yarn Dingle baby!
Dingle is a haven for woollen products. Woollen mills and weaving stores are lining up the street of Dingle in Co. Kerry. One thing I love and longing to do again is an afternoon stroll around the beautiful town. I am fascinated with the local crafty produce and adore the woolen textures colors and contrasts of the yarns.
I took some photees!

A plate to remember....
Or should I say a museum of plates to remember!!!
Let's spill the beans in the plate!
Question number 1: What sort of souvenirs you are collecting when you are away?
Fridge magnets? postcards? train tickets? lousy shirts or what have you?
At the high of moi tackiness and pointless collection OMG! I AM SO TACKY!!! comes with moi evah wide range of Ming dynasty plates collection (Mingin Dynasty Should I say!). I started collecting plates from the very start of moi travels many moons and yonks ago.
I have no plans of stopping this pointless collection. It's moi holiday MUST DO! Imagine me somewhere haggling around and reaching high for the tackies plates evah.
Mind you there's 2 dozens still waiting in boxes here in Dublin waiting to be sent home. If they don't have plates what should I get? perhaps spoons? If I am traveling to Mars probably I will get rocks!

I thought I'd better check this third plate, which is another date, see if there's an image there in the right place that would be consistent with the images on the other plates.
